What is a key difference between a small website and a big popular website? Simple, one is feed on a regular basis and the other is lying dead in the corner starving. A good healthy website should be feed atleast daily. Websites love to eat new content, flash videos and new web gadgets. A healthy website also likes to get its hair done on every special occasion. So where to start? Well the first thing, should be to post a blog on your website. New posts should be entered into the blog on a regular basis, start by posting atleast 3 blogs a week. The next step from a blog is to build a community. A community usually consists of an email list, forum, personal profiles, games and news. Build up a good email list, before creating the other aspects of your community. The last step is to add innovative gadgets, information and inspiration to your website; make your website unique and stand out from the rest. What about hosting a news show on your website? On a special occasion such as Mothers Day, redevelop the logo, to display that your website is celebrating the special day. I am a believer, you should always preach what you teach.
