Good Advice, Bad Advice - Wednesday, 7th May, 2008
Throughout your life, people are willing to give you advice. Some advice is good? Some advice is bad? But what makes advice good and what makes advice bad? You do. Learning is a very important part of being in business, especially in the information age. One method of learning is to listen to others; however you need to decide whether to take on board the information or not.
So someone has given you advice, now what? The first thing you should do is Google information regarding the topic. Read articles, news clips and also talk to others. Try and obtain as much knowledge of the topic as possible, then make your decision on whether you take the advice on board or not. In fact no doubt, I have given advice on giving advice in this blog post.
A saying I picked up along the lines from someone is: ‘Free advice from a poor person is expensive.’ The advice is free; however taking action on the advice could be a very risky and a costly mistake. The only good advice I could give on that experience would be to learn from your mistake.
To conclude this post, I would like to offer you some advice, what you do with it is up to you. Our most valuable asset in life is time not money. The first step towards becoming wealthy is to believe that your time is more precious than your money.
