Internet Marketing Update - Tuesday, 20th May, 2008

Over the last couple of days, I have seen a big jump in my traffic. I was wondering what could have caused the big jump? The big jump was the result of my blogging campaign. You see when I checked my statistics, I noticed I was getting a number of hits from search phrases such as: nz software development market. That phrase linked directly to my 4th blog. These findings emphasize the importance of blogging as a key part of running a good internet marketing campaign. Good blogging takes skill, the art of writing a blog is knowing what to say to get traffic, at the same time keeping your audience interested. The first step to blogging is to find out the popular key phrases surrounding your website. If you sell flowers, maybe nz flowers is a good key phrase. To find out the popular key phrases; set up a Google Adwords account and use the Google keyword tool to find the popular key phrases. Now that you have the popular key phrases; take one key phrase at a time and integrate this keyphrase into your blog. Aim to have the keyphrase as the TITLE and HEADING of the blog. In this blog, I could possibly be taking advantage of two key phrases. Internet Marketing Internet Marketing Update The next trick is not to spam the key phrases, but to talk about the key phrases. Basically just write about what you know, the blog HAS TO MAKE SENSE. If the blog didn't make sense then people will not be able to read it and you will just get dead traffic.
